Give your life a VIBGYOR start

Life is art. Live yours in color and it will be a journey that is spectacular.

Filled with hues that warm the heart; give your life a vibgyor start!

Embrace all shades, be they dark or light. Let them not in your life fight.

Adopt the black, the white, the grey. Please, just take them all in your fray.

Violet is reminiscent of beautiful things like lavenders & violets in the spring.

Their redolent scent permeates the air; they pop up in lea’s here and there.

Violet symbolizes mystery & intrigue, it says I am spiritual & have mystique.

It invites us to explore and sink in, teaches us to imbibe calm and forget the din.

Indigo invokes images of the dye mum would use, to whiten our whites & things she’d choose.

It brings forth memories of childhood & schools, oh! We were back then, such playful fools.

Mum’s dye would run and bleed on our school white; that used to be a dam funny sight.

Still laughing off to school we would go, our friends would have the same to show.

Keep the blues of your life at bay, let the color blue let your thoughts sway.

It’s the color of water, our life force; from it does survival source.

Let the color remind you of the limitless sky, let your dreams soar really high.

Let them fly, follow your heart; the color is indicative of ambition’s start.

Green symbolizes life & reason; it’s the harbinger of a beauteous season.

Imbibe its resplendence, its charm; it brings prosperity, serenity & calm.

Its verdant hues herald spring; the color makes a farmer’s heart sing.

Capture its essence in your heart; it’s a reminder of how life does start.

Yellow is the sunshine that gives us force, it’s from what human’s do source

The color of turmeric, sunflowers and more; it’s been a favorite of poets before.

Many a ballads & odes have been written; with yellow they all were so smitten

It is the harbinger of optimism & hope; it encourages us to widen our scope.

Orange brings happiness & brings joy; it’s a shade that is bold & is not coy.

It’s the hue that clothes the sun at dusk & dawn; its ocher hues make maidens fawn.

It clothes the fall & the harvest season; gives nature a strange fascination.

It ignites in the heart an unbidden passion. Yes! It’s a color always in fashion.

The significance of red is immense, from this very red birth does commence.

When an infant is born, it is birthed from red; it sucks in life & takes a breath.

The red symbolizes union, strength and life; it’s the adornment of a new wife.

It is the color of passion, love and desire; yes, it fills us with heat & fire.

About Sonal Singh

I believe that life is a repertoire of anecdotes. The various situations that we encounter, the many incidents of every day, the people we meet, our conversations with them; all make life a melange of tales. And, that is what I attempt to capture through my writing. My cooking is no different! It reflects my love for travel and my love for innovation. The kitchen is my happy place. So, even though by vocation I am a recruiter (www.rianplacements.com), by passion I am a writer, home chef and a hodophile.
