The mendicant

Forged by the fires of his youth, his flame burned bright and strong
like a beacon that shines at night; it shone guiding right from wrong.
Its warmth enveloped his entity, gave him kindness beyond measure
it made him a kindred spirit, his empathy was such a treasure.
People came from far and wide, seeking his wise counsel.
The mendicant touched lives, both poor and rich in his travel.
He renounced the material world, embarked on a newfound path.
In his search for enlightenment he roved, corners of the earth.
The fires of the youth that had burned lit his own fire within
and he lit a fire of knowledge in the world, it rose above the din.

About Sonal Singh

I believe that life is a repertoire of anecdotes. The various situations that we encounter, the many incidents of every day, the people we meet, our conversations with them; all make life a melange of tales. And, that is what I attempt to capture through my writing. My cooking is no different! It reflects my love for travel and my love for innovation. The kitchen is my happy place. So, even though by vocation I am a recruiter (www.rianplacements.com), by passion I am a writer, home chef and a hodophile.
