Valentine Blush

Aren’t Valentine’s Day and Strawberries, a match made in heaven?

What??? You think not!

Hmm…wait till you try this concoction of mine. The blushing pink shade alone is enough to warrant a sip!

VALENTINE BLUSH  (strawberry lassi)

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2 cups yogurt (if the yogurt is very thick then add a bit if water to ensure smooth blending)
  2. 10-12 ripe strawberries (fresh are always better. If they are unavailable then you can use strawberry extract)
  3. 1/4th tsp salt
  4. 4 tsp sugar (could be more or less depending on how sweet the strawberries are)

METHOD

  1. Churn all ingredients together in a blender, till well combined
  2. You may opt to leave a few strawberries chunks in the drink (my kids prefer it that way) or f you want a smoother consistency then you can strain the blended liquid.
  3. Serve chilled.

About Sonal Singh

An author, storyteller, and full-time observer of life’s glorious absurdities. I write humour-laced stories where chaos wears fluffy fur, emotions arrive uninvited, and middle-class Indian households become ecosystems of drama, love, and unsolicited advice. Armed with sarcasm, caffeine, and alarming emotional attachment to stray creatures, I believe compassion is less of a virtue and more of a lifestyle disorder. One that I embrace. When I’m not writing, I’m usually busy running a full-time HR consultancy business, rescuing animals, or trying to maintain dignity while being emotionally manipulated by my pets. Through my literary work, I try to blend humour with heart, celebrating the messy coexistence of humans and non-humans in modern urban India.
